What counts as a volunteering activity?

For your volunteering activity you need to give time to do something useful without getting paid. You could be helping people, the community society, the environment or animals (One activity you’re already involved in is the Air Cadets). Your Squadron or Wing DofE Officers can guide you on what can count for volunteering.
If you already volunteer for a local group or charity you could use that towards your award, but you might want to start something new.

Team volunteering

You can also volunteer in a team, which might be an easier way to find an activity if you can identify a local need you can help with.
